The Profile Engineering Service aims to establish whether the business opportunity has the potential to justify the development of investments. Different technically feasible alternatives, advantages and disadvantages of each are presented in order to have a short list of options to be further analyzed in the next phase.

During this phase, the basis of the business, the products and/or services that could eventually be obtained and their insertion or commercialization in the market are established, processing capacities are proposed to feed the economy of scale and potential locations where the project can be developed are proposed.

The cost estimate associated with the project in this phase is established as Class 5 in order to evaluate the business opportunity.​

The service is broken down into the following stages.

1. Define the problem.

2. Determine the objectives.

3. Distinguish feasible options and options to discard.

4. Key success factors and fatal risk factors.

5. Analyze the situation without the project.

The deliverables that are developed in this stage of engineering are:

• Design Basis.

• Technical Report Feasibility Study.

• Initial Investment Economic Estimate (CAPEX) = ± 40%.
