OVERVIEW
The project "New Substation Sectioning Nueva Lagunas and New 2x500 kV Line Nueva Lagunas - Kimal" includes the design, engineering, construction and commissioning of a 500 kV sectioning substation, as well as a high capacity double circuit transmission line (2x500 kV) that will connect Nueva Lagunas with Kimal. This project includes technical and environmental feasibility studies, development of civil works for the substation, installation of high technology equipment such as transformers, switches, bus bars and protection and control systems. In addition, the construction of the transmission line includes the installation of towers, conductors, insulators and all associated elements to guarantee the stability and reliability of the system. The scope also considers pre-operational and operational tests, as well as the integration of these facilities into the National Electric System, seeking to optimize the transmission of electric energy in the region.
